- We hold street meetings on the fire-prone fringes of town, and other areas as requested, to inform residents of the facts and myths of bush fires in the mountains. These meetings are held in conjunction with Blackheath Rural Fire Service.
- We recruit and train HUFF Coordinators.
- We have printed a Fridge Magnet for distribution to all households and businesses in the Upper Mountains from Medlow Bath to Mount Tomah with distibution commencing in December 2011. This Fridge Magnet provides key information to help residents stay alert and aware of fire danger along with contact details for the Rural Fire Brigades.
- Members of the Blackheath Bushfire Watch Group are available to talk to schools and other community organisations on bushfire survival and preparedness and the role of HUFF.
